Windows® uses a special computer language to communicate with all the programs, but it doesn’t expect you to know the language. Instead, Windows will talk to you using pictures and symbols-–like a translator between you and all the programs on your computer. When you choose a graphic on the computer screen, Windows translates your action into computer talk and passes your message to a program. All of this takes place behind the scenes.
